KalaKuteer is a performing and fine arts hub which is serving as a store house of multi folded paths of art in Hyderabad. The institute offers courses in dance, vocal, instrumental, fine art and theatrics. Kalakuteer stands on the principle called “Swanthai sukhai, bahujana hitai,” that is “One’s blissful heart for well being of others” .Thus it caters to the students of various age groups serving as a center of peace, learning and reformation to face various challenges that they encounter.
The school was established in the year 2014 as an attempt to promote and revive the glory of art that is getting diminished in this age .It was founded by Smt. Rupa Bhattacharya with a motto of bringing all forms of art under one roof. Thus, every department in the institution represents an art form – The department of instrumental music, provides courses on various instruments such as sitar, guitar, tabla, drums, harmonium, synthesizer etc. The department of dance provides courses on Kathak and contemporary dance forms. The department of vocal music undertakes classical and semi-classical music. Hindustani classes are accompanied by harmonium/ tanpura. The department of fine arts includes classes on Painting (oil, acrylic), sketching, rangoli, origami, Installations etc. The department of dramatics deals with the classes on theater, dramatics and performances.
The main objective of the programs in the institute is to develop and cultivate the intellect not just as an art but as an overall development of an individual. Thus, the student can able to kindle, evolve and develop the art in terms of perception and profession. The well trained faculty and group of visiting faculty enriches the curriculum with their expertise and experience providing an open platform for discussion. The interaction with revered artists will provide an opportunity to study the nuances that helps to groom the budding one. The institute not just only trains an individual but also provides a platform to exhibit their talent in the form of annual performances, guest lectures and workshops in various organizations, participation in the competitions and taking up event management for the events that involves art.
